Founded in 2006 by Joey Coakley Beck, Beck Media Group publishes a number of popular local and regional publications spanning Southwest & Central Virginia and everywhere in between.
Its firstborn, Bella, is a monthly, large format, free publication for women. Bella made its debut in June 2006 and has grown immensely ever since, thanks to the overwhelming support from advertisers and readers across the region. Since then, Beck Media Group has published Fella, a men's magazine, and Vennue, an arts & entertainment magazine. (We can't seem to stop growing!)
The adventure began with Bella, and it's certainly served us well. Bella has been named the recipient of several major awards given by the Virginia Press Association for "Design & Presentation of a Newsprint Magazine," as well as several major awards for ad design (25 - and counting - to be exact) including "Best in Show" and the top honor "Best of the Best." Our Holiday Gift Guide (November issues) has also won the "Best in Show" honor. In these competitions we were up against every daily, non-daily/weekly and specialty newspaper/publication in the state of Virginia, so these awards say a lot about us!
Bella is professionally distributed to carefully selected locations across the Roanoke Valley, Salem, New River Valley, Smith Mountain Lake, Botetourt, Lynchburg, Lexington and everywhere in between.
